We will carefully clean imitation mounts, polish metal mounts, brush and oil drone bores, and secure any loose mounts. We will also completely remove all of your old hemp and apply fresh hemp, making sure the hemp doesn't slip and that all the pieces fit nicely. The standard re-hemping will be done with two strands simultaneously: 1 of waxed yellow hemp, and 1 of plain yellow hemp. We find that this offers nices compression, without becoming too slick. But you can choose another type of hemp, if you prefer. For this service you will need to ship your entire bagpipe. While it's here, we can also season your hide or sheepskin bag for an additional $10 charge, half the price of the seasoning service alone.
