1.28 Inch Touch TFT Display Module Round RGB 240 * 240 GC9A01 Driver IPS LCD Touch Screen Module 240×240 LCD Display Module

I am impressed with this 1.28-inch Touch Round LCD Display Module. This small IPS LCD boasts crisp and vibrant colors, making it a standout component for any project. I initially ordered this display for a future wearable project, and I am very pleased with its performance so far. The compact form factor of this display module makes it ideal for wearable projects or creating user-interactive menus for various devices. To test this module, I used an Raspberry Pi Pico 2 on the Arduino platform, The signal are clearly labeled on the back of the PCB for both the display and touch interfaces and here are my findings:Display Controller: The module uses the GC9A01 display controller, which operates via the SPI interface.Touch Controller: The touch functionality is managed by the CST816D controller and connects using I2C interface.While I could not find any example code by the manufacturer, I used the Bodmer’s TFT_eSPI display library, which supports the GC9A01 display controller, and I was up and running the example codes in no time.The LCD backlight operates on positive logic. I connected the backlight to 3.3V to turn it on, and the brightness can be controlled by modulating the backlight pin with PWM. Running some example codes yielded excellent results.Although the display controller supports a resolution of 240×240, the viewable display is cropped due to the round shape and size of the LCD. This caused some examples to appear off-center, but this can be adjusted in the code. The display module can be powered from both 5V and 3.3V. I also tested the touch functionality using an Arduino library for the CST816D capacitive touch sensor connected to the I2C bus, and it worked perfectly.Overall, I am impressed with this little display module and plan to use it in my upcoming project. Its vibrant display, touch functionality, and ease of integration make it a fantastic choice for various applications.
