I picked this little speaker up for use in the shower because I like to listen to my phone while I bathe but can’t hear it over the shower head. Naturally, a waterproof speaker like this is the answer to my dilemma.Your speaker set comes with speaker, carabiner, USB charge cable and directions. What it does not have, but needs is the USB port box which any phone charge block should work. The USBA to USBC charge cable measures 30 inches. The speaker box needs the USBC side for charging and the port is capped with a water resistant silicon plug when not in use. A plastic loop on the side of the speaker allows for carabiner hanging making this little guy portable- on the beach, on the trail, on your bike or back pack. Otherwise, you can utilize the industrial sized suction cup which is only good for smooth flat surfaces. It appears the suction cup can be removed. The directions are well written and easy to use.It is recommended that you charge your speaker for 5 hours prior to use. Mine worked out of the box. Power button turns the unit on but also controls pairing which is understood with a voice prompt from the speaker. Simple Bluetooth pairing with no apps needed. Turn on speaker, select speaker from your Bluetooth device menu and done. The speaker has 3 different modes- FM, Bluetooth and clock. In Bluetooth mode I was impressed! I live in a 100 year old lathe and plaster 2 story (with lead paint) and was able to keep my phone paired almost on the other side of the house through 3 rooms and 2 stories. The connect died in the last room, paused my video and reconnected when I stepped back into the previous room. I have $100 blue tooth speakers that are not that strong! For a mono speaker sound quality was good and got reasonably loud. It will additionally work with phone calls, but I did not try this feature. I had problems with the FM setting which allows for scanning and found no stations. I live in the boonies but due get a couple stations on my car stereo. This speaker didn’t find them. Clock mode allows for the unit to be on with out any music and displays the clock and light functions. The light function only turns off when you turn off the speaker, however the colors and light rhythm can be changed from rainbow to sold monotone colors and the speed can be altered. The build itself feels pretty solid. It’s manufactured out of plastic but does feature a silicon exterior bumper ring to the sides. I do have to say the plastic rigid hang loop doesn’t look like it would hold up well. While it appears that the speaker side is the back, the sound quality is good. Speaker measures about 3.5 x 1.5 inches not including suction cup.Overall, a decent little speaker box for showering or on the go. I do not yet know how long it can be used or how long it takes to charge, but this seems like a tiny mighty box. It does note battery level on it’s display which is handy. It’s not a Bose speaker, but for the present price of $23.99 30% coupon, that’s kinda hard to beat. [...]
