The Spring-Under Conversion Explained Stock full-size Broncos run a spring-over-axle setup from the factory, which limits how much arch and free length the leaf spring can have. The GIANT MotorSports 64″ kit flips that arrangement — mounting the spring below the axle instead of above it. That change unlocks 7″ of additional spring length and 17″ of free arch, which translates directly into 8–10″ of droop from ride height and up to 19″ of total wheel travel. The result is a Bronco that articulates like a purpose-built race truck while still being driveable on the street. Race-proven — this kit has been run at events including the 2018 SNORE by driver Josh Bradfield (#2014). The 3.25″ Solid Shock Co. bypass shock setup bolts under the bed and, combined with this spring kit, can pull a full 20″ of travel. A 4.0″ shock is also available for more aggressive builds. Compatible Vehicle 1980–1996 full-size Ford Bronco. Not for Ranger, F-150, or other platforms — each has its own geometry-specific kit. Installation Notes Frame mounts weld on.
