========================================================================NOTE: Product being reviewed is ASIN B0DTPFRG8N, ad entitled:”0.96 Inch OLED Display Module 12864 LCD Screen 128×64 IIC I2COLED Board SSD1315 Driver for Arduino Raspberry Pi Pico RAKWisBlock Meshtastic (2Pcs Blue)”Price at the time of my order was $10/two, with a 10% coupon available.========================================================================These are commodity 128×64 pixel-mapped OLED display modules, available since 2017 or so in various incarnations designed around SSD1306, SSD3315 and similar I2C drivers. (These use the SSD3315, with I2C address defaulted to 0x3C, which can be jumpered to 0x3D.)Datasheets are widely available: Google “128×64 LED module datasheet” and you’ll find as many variants as you like, though it would have been nice if the seller had provided a datasheet specific to this particular module.Driver-wise, I was able to get on the air with them readily using a Pi Pico and a lightly modified version of ssd1315.c from GitHub “kefir/ssd1315” repo. No surprises, just re-define i2c_write() as appropriate for your platform.I chose to run them at Vdd = 5V, with the 3.3V Pico I2C lines driven thru level shifters, but that is probably not necessary as the module is speced to operate with Vdd 3.3 – 5V, so presumably could have run them at Vdd = 3.3V with direct I2C lines, but I did not try this so cannot comment.Display brightness with these nice OLEDs (blue) is sufficient for decent visibility in bright indoor lighting, though perhaps a bit dim for outdoor use. But still, much better than older LCD and LED versions of similar high-density pixel-mapped modules that I’ve played with over the years. What else can be said? Board and display dimensions given in the ad are accurate. They come packed carefully in little plastic capsules, with a little piece of foam to hold them securely, and a set of 4×100-mil posts.Summary: Nice little jellybeans. Operate as expected, decent price, no issues, five stars.
