Compatible turret part number – GL1144 These shocks can be fitted to vehicles with: Anti-roll bars fitted or removed 1″ lowered suspension Standard ride height Up to a 2″ suspension lift These shocks are used in our Adventurer STD Suspension Kit, which uses standard-length shock absorbers. The full suspension kit description –  Gwyn Lewis Adventurer STD Suspension Kit & Pricing Both anti-roll bars can be used with this suspension setup. If your vehicle is mainly road-driven and you do not require maximum articulation, this kit is an ideal option. Extended Brake Hoses or Spring Re-Locators are not required. Extended Bump Stops will be required if using a lifted spring. Protect the shock absorber from paint chips and rust by using this GL1249, Shock Absorber Protection Heat Shrink. These shocks are supplied fully assembled with bushes and our bush isolation washers fitted at each end. These isolation washers are important, as they help prevent wear to the shock absorber pin and allow for better flexibility. On later rear axles, the original cup washers are spot welded in by 4 spot welds. All 4 cup washers must be removed, as they restrict movement and can cause the shock pin to break off.  All our shocks come with new cup washers. Please fit them as shown in the instructions that come with each shock absorber. Their finely tuned and balanced valving system is among the most advanced available. If a Defender 90 is very light and carries no additional weight, these GL2000 shocks can also be fitted to the rear to improve ride comfort, as they use softer valving. To fit them to the rear, GL1171 Pin/Pin Shock Mounts are required.
